Your Path to Success: Advice to People Considering a Career in Health Sciences

Emily N. Haynes

EDITORIAL NOTE: This talk was presented by Dr. Haynes at the Association of American Medical Colleges meeting in Washington, DC, in November 2005, as part of a recruitment session for minority students. It relates her personal experience and philosophy on how to achieve success in starting a career in the health sciences. It was one of the most powerful and enthusiastically received messages that I have heard. Dr. Haynes kindly agreed to write it up for JVME. —Donal Walsh, Editor
