Subscription Information
There are
two types of subscription "Individual" and "Institutional"
- For on
line access, an Individual Subscriber
creates a name and password that allows the individual to access the
JVME online site from any single computer linked to the internet.
- When an
Institutional Subscription is created
for on line access, in the process of setting up that subscription that
institution provides to the subscription manager a list of IP addresses
within the institution's domain from where the access to the JVME online
site is to be available. Upon connecting from that site within the institution's
domain the HighWire host for JVME online recognizes the IP address and
provides access to JVME online.
The Journal
is available both on-line and as a paper edition. Subscription to the
Journal can be for On-line access only, for the Paper Edition of the Journal
only, or Both (see Subscription Prices).
AAVMC
Membership. The Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges
(AAVMC) membership includes all veterinary medical colleges in the United
States and Canada, eight departments of veterinary science, eight departments
of comparative medicine, two animal medical centers, and several international
colleges of veterinary medicine http://aavmc.org/.
All faculty within the member institutions receive the paper edition of
the Journal as a part of AAVMC membership and this will continue even
now that the Journal is also available on-line. Faculty in these schools
have access to JVME online either as part of the Institutional Subscription
of their school or they can create an Individual Subscription (should
their institution not have created an on-line institutional subscription
or if they want to access the journal from an alternate location).
